Lost Velvet are a UK alternative dark rock duo formed by multi-instrumentalist Robert Butcher and vocalist Melissa Morris. Blending cinematic textures, layered guitars and haunting dual vocals with elements of shoegaze, dream pop and industrial rock, their sound draws influence from Radiohead, Deftones, Nine Inch Nails and Massive Attack. Since emerging in 2025, Lost Velvet have received continued support from BBC Introducing, alongside Apple Music editorial and Amazing Radio. Their debut album Dark Cells, mixed by Michael Patterson (Nine Inch Nails, Puscifer, How To Destroy Angels) and mastered by Maor Appelbaum, arrives September 2026.
