About

BURIED AWAY drifts through the ruins of post-punk, pulling echoes from the distant blur of shoegaze, the chill of coldwave, and the violent beauty of noise rock. Born in Vienna, the band channels the ghost of Joy Division, the fury of IDLES, the abyss of A Place to Bury Strangers and the glacial menace of Undertheskin. Dark, depressive, emotional, and unapologetically loud, BURIED AWAY explores themes of suicide, addiction, and doomed love through lyrics that bruise slowly—lingering like smoke in locked rooms—over guitars that drown everything else out. Their self-titled debut EP, BURIED AWAY, distills that world into a short, bruising statement—cold, noisy and deeply personal, suspended somewhere between despair, tenderness and collapse.
